A free breastfeeding support group in San Diego meets weekly in Mission Valley to offer hands-on lactation help for nursing parents and their babies.
Get latch support, weighted feeds, and evidence-based guidance in a warm, judgment-free space — led by a certified lactation educator.
Led by Valori Sharp, Certified Lactation Educator, Postpartum Doula, and IBCLC in training
The San Diego Breastfeeding Center is excited to relaunch our weekly lactation and infant feeding support group in a new, centrally located space. Join us for an hour of education, warm conversation, and compassionate support designed for you and your baby's feeding journey. This group offers both professional lactation guidance and meaningful peer connection during the postpartum period.
Brief guidance on pumping and bottle-feeding technique may be offered; however, a full private consultation is recommended for in-depth support with topics such as bottle refusal, flange fitting, and complex feeding challenges.
Please bring your breastfeeding pillow and any feeding supplies or supplementation you are currently using. Due to limited space, this group is currently limited to the nursing parent and baby only.
This is a free support group; however, registration is required to ensure the group leader is present and prepared for attendees. Registration closes at 8:00 PM the night before each event. If you would like to attend and registration for a particular date has closed, please contact Valori at the San Diego Breastfeeding Center at 619-724-4117 as soon as possible.
This space is graciously hosted by Align SD, whose support helps make this support group possible.

For stroller access, please drive past the main entrance of the building and park at the far end of the building on the right. Enter the building and proceed down the hall — elevators will be on your right. Take the elevator to the third floor. We are the first door on the right after exiting.
If you are carrying only your baby or car seat, the front entrance is the quickest route to the elevator.
